“What I also like about illustration is that to me it feels more poetic and personal than graphic design. You are hired for a particular visual language, rather than having to adapt your ideas and way of working to a particular client.”
Nora Krug’s illustrations have been published by the New York Times, the Guardian, Comedy Central and Putnam Penguin among others – and she designed a really cute type-T for us. Her work was recognized by organizations including the New York Art Director’s Club and the Sundance Festival and it won the Society of Illustrator’s gold medal. Nora is an associate professor for illustration at the Parsons School for Design in New York. (Credit: this post features quotes from a full-length interview with Nora Krug at Sprayblog)
